Day ten of the Ghana road trip: final day, return to Accra from Kumasi.
We hadn’t gone down the road ten minutes when we noticed a burning smell. We pulled into the next filling station to gas up, oil up and check it out.
There was air in the cooling system, which caused the water to turn to steam. It was an easy fix for Stanley. We were done in less than ten minutes. I’m using the royal “we” here, as all I did was take pictures.
Heading south towards Accra, we had several hours of driving ahead.
On the road south, there were many familiar sights. Fruit sellers, with their neat piles of fruit for sale.
Colorful produce stands with amazingly red tomatoes.
Jugs of palm oil, waiting to be used for cooking, soap or cosmetics.
We passed through the small city of Nkawkaw, which looked interesting.
I finally saw a truck that didn’t have people riding on top.
