Day three of the Ghana road trip: we put the Land Rover through her paces.
We turned off the main road towards Cape Three Points, and things got interesting almost immediately.
No more paved road for awhile. This is why I took a Land Rover on this trip, after all.
Stanley was getting hungry, but since we were nowhere near even a chop bar, he stopped in a small village for a couple of hardboiled eggs being sold at the side of the road. Our mere presence attracted a bit of attention, but in a good way.
I normally find children uninteresting at best, but West African kids completely disarm me. The one on the right in the yellow shirt may never have seen a white person before, from the look on his face.
There’s a ham in every crowd.
Leaving my fans behind, we set off on a pretty decent dirt road towards the rubber plantations.
