When they finish building this place, they’ll have a great view.
Just past Atimpoku is the graceful Volta River Bridge, Ghana’s only suspension bridge, standing out like a white lacy monochromatic rainbow against the green carpeted mountains.
Bread sellers seemed to be concentrated in one area.
Caught a quick glimpse of a hotel right on the river. Great location, and from this photo, it looks like a nice place. Too bad I didn’t catch the name.
On my next Ghana trip, I’ll have to spend more time in the Volta Region. So many beautiful places to see, so little time!
Akosombo was only a few more minutes away. It was a pretty town, with wide streets and trees which arched over the road, making it lovely and pleasantly cool.
